ASHRAE Winter Conference 2026

At the end of January, 3 of our Apprentice Engineers had the opportunity to visit Las Vegas for the ASHRAE Winter Conference 2026 hosted in Caesars Palace. It was a full week of learning from industry leaders and connecting with professionals who are shaping the future of our field. There was also plenty of time to explore the famous Las Vegas Strip and eat a lot of fast food!

Some highlights were:

• Meeting ASHRAE President William McQuade and UK Chapter Vice President Mahroo Eftekhati
• Attending various Technical Sessions on a range of subjects from Thermal Strategies for Smart Buildings to Practical Paths to Net-Zero
• Sitting in on a Board of Directors Meeting
• Learning different approaches to Building Services design and how they differ to those in the UK
• Meeting and learning from other young professionals at the Young Engineers in ASHRAE mixer
• Attending the Expo Show and talking to a lot of companies

A fantastic opportunity that won’t be forgotten soon!
