Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers
Over the summer, we had the pleasure of hosting three enthusiastic work experience students from local secondary schools. Each student had five days working with us where they had the chance to explore different parts of the business.
The students had the opportunity to shadow engineers, visit an active site, and learn how we design and deliver sustainable, efficient building systems. From drafting basic layouts to exploring how mechanical and electrical services come together in real projects, they got a real taste of what it means to work in a consultancy environment. It was a rewarding experience for everyone involved. The students brought fresh perspectives and great energy whilst our team enjoyed sharing their knowledge and passion for the industry.
A week after his placement, one of the students, Ewan from Manchester Grammar School, kindly shared his feedback:
“The work experience was great, and I learned a lot. I developed a lot of usable skills like CAD, and the activities I did were great. Everyone at the office was very nice and kind… it was a wonderful experience.”
A big thank you to Luke, Ewan, and Max (Pictured) for your hard work and enthusiasm. We hope to have inspired them to pursue a future in engineering and wish them every success in their next steps!
