Residential Project
Employed by Peel Holdings, ECS Consultants were required to design Part L Compliant systems at a reduced capital expenditure.
In order to deliver this, ECS worked closely with the project Architects to advise on fabric and air permeability requirements so that electric panel heaters could be specified, still meeting the requirements of Approved Document L1A Building Regulations.
Project Overview | Multi residential apartments |
Key Aspects | Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Systems |
Overall project value | £22,000,000 |
Client | Arconia |
ECS reported in relation to additional costs, in relation to building fabric changes matched against savings in relation to gas supplies, routing gas through the building, and cost of installations of boilers, pipework and radiators. The result was a reduced cost in relation to project and more efficient super- insulated homes requiring lower energy inputs.
