Future Skills College Phase II, Salford

Following the success of Future Skills Phase I, Salford City College appointed ECS Consultants to carry out the mechanical and specialist electrical design for Phase II of the project.

This exciting scheme incorporated a new television studio, audio control room, visual control room and a number of editing suites.

Lecture theatres and tutorial rooms were also included in the overall project scope. Additionally, the building will house all college campus facilities, including primary data storage.

With standby generation and an Unbreakable Power Supply, gas fire suppression and specialist cooling and aspirating systems, the state-of-the-art data centre, designed by ECS, will ensure that the work of more than 3,000 students will be secured and available 24 / 7, regardless of external events.
