Residential Project

Village 135, Manchester

Winner of ‘Best Large Development’ at the 2017 National Housing Awards, this exciting project is built over two sites, featuring a glazed footbridge crossing a busy road that connects two existing, remodelled residential tower blocks to form one common space.

Comprised of one hundred and thirty-five apartments, complete with 24-hour on-site Extra Care, the project includes communal areas and a central community hub facility with a Bistro, Salon & Spa.

ECS utilised central Biomass Commercial Plant, distributed to heat exchange units within each apartment. Energy efficiency was a key requirement of project delivery so the RHI Grant Aid available made the selection of biomass a key driver in reducing fuel poverty.
