ECS are looking for their next Building Services Design Engineer Apprentices
Due to continued company expansion, ECS Consultants have the availability for two individuals to train as Building Services Design Engineers within our Mechanical and Electrical Design department. This follows the success of our existing apprentices within the business.

This exciting opportunity for candidates who share our passion will be a mixture of job training (four days per week) whilst studying for a B.Eng Degree in Building Services and Sustainable Engineering (one day per week, term time).
We are looking for candidates who are motivated, enthusiastic and have a good attitude towards developing their career. The candidates should currently be studying A Levels in maths and / or physics and they must have a positive attitude and a keen interest in the building services engineering sector. The main duties for this role include:
- Assist in the Design of Mechanical and Electrical Systems
- Production of Auto Cad Drawings
- Production of REVIT Drawings
- Undertake Site Surveys
- Attend Design Team Meetings
- Attend Project Meetings
- Operate Engineering Design Systems
- Production of Computer Models

The successful candidates will be enrolled on the ‘Building Services and Sustainable Engineering’ course at the University of Central Lancashire. The course will take place one day per week at the Preston campus (with four days spent within the company office) and will earn the candidate a B.Eng (Hons) degree. Entry Requirements
Our typical offer is 104 UCAS Points at A2 including Maths. We operate a flexible admissions policy and treat everyone as an individual. This means that we will take into consideration your educational achievements and predicted grades (where applicable) together with your application as a whole, including work experience and personal statement. General Studies accepted.
BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM in Engineering including Maths units
BTEC Diploma: Distinction, Distinction to include Maths modules.
Pass Access Course: 104 UCAS Points including 15 Level 3 credits in Maths
International Baccalaureate: Pass Diploma with 104 UCAS points from Higher Level Subjects including HL in Maths
T Level: M including Maths
IELTS: 6.0 with no score lower than 5.5
GCSE: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English or equivalent
