ECS Cycle to Support The British Heart Foundation

We love to celebrate our staff members achievements, both personally and professionally, which is why we wanted to offer our congratulations to ECS Director Daniel Clarke who recently completed The Fred Whitton in support of the British Heart Foundation.
A difficult endeavour even when surrounded by the beautiful lake district views (and hills!), The Fred Whitton is a revered and gruelling cycling sportive. Known as “The Daddy of them all” , this legendary event is a true test of endurance that rivals Europe’s toughest cycling challenges. 112 miles of punishing terrain going over Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott, Wrynose, and Blea Tarn passes.
The hardest section of road was undoubtedly Hardknott Pass, which at over 1.5 miles long and with sections of 33% gradient, Daniel simply described as ‘cruel!’
Well done Dan! What a fantastic, although challenging way to raise awareness for such a great charity.
